Supporting Director
Networking Through Nature (NTN) is in the process of applying to becoming a Community Interest Company (CIC) and is looking to recruit one additional director to join the team.
NTN was created in response to the founder’s growing awareness of the disconnection between human beings and the natural world. Feeling that addressing this lack of connection was central to creating not only happier citizens and communities but ones who are more environmentally aware and active, NTN was formed. Through NTN we run immersive, nature-based walks, workshops and retreats which enable individuals to begin redefining and transforming their relationships with the natural world, with themselves and with their communities. Our activities are open to all; those who are aware of and concerned about the climate crisis as well as those just beginning to dip their toes in the waters of nature connection. In becoming a CIC, we aim to broaden our reach, allowing more people to experience these benefits, as well as creating opportunities for new collaborative partnerships with other facilitators and organisations working within nature and environmental spaces.
In order to register as a CIC, we are seeking one additional individual to act as a supporting director. This role would require you to attend a quarterly meeting to ensure that work is being carried out as agreed, that funds are being spent appropriately and to agree the annual accounts and report. In addition, you would have the opportunity to contribute to the development of exciting new projects as NTN develops. Directors may on occasion be asked to provide additional support in areas in which they possess specific skills that may advance particular projects or the running of NTN.
If you are enthusiastic about NTN’s remit, could act as a critical friend and are keen to bring your expertise to the organisation we would love to meet you, either in person or via zoom and answer any questions you may have. Please contact Stephanie Killingbeck-Turner on stephanie@networkingthroughnature.co.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you.
